Wausau’s rich history of outdoor leisure and lumber industries inform the bold Van Acre brand that seeks to connect guests with its grounded yet generous hospitality. The existing layout positions a bar and lounge on one side and a live-fire kitchen and dining area on the other side of a thoroughfare from the hotel lobby to the conference halls and restrooms. The two spaces become a cohesive whole offering a variety of dining styles: intimate booths, flexible banquettes, interactive communal tables, cocktail lounge, and a private fireside dining room.
