In a neighborhood brimming with dining options, Waking Daisy sets itself apart with a brunch experience that’s anything but ordinary. Known for its scratch-made plates and inventive menu, the restaurant needed a space that could match the personality and passion of its food program. That’s where our design team came in.
We set out to create a destination dining experience, one that delights the senses and sparks joy from the moment guests walk in. Inspired by sunrises over Lake Michigan, we brought in bold color-blocked walls, punchy wall sconces reminiscent of sunny-side-up egg yolks, juicer-shaped lamp shades, and dimpled, egg carton–shaped acoustical solutions that nod playfully to the brunch theme.
Every design element is intentional. The retro-style bar invites casual conversation, while a playful mix of cushy banquettes and cozy booths, built and installed with care by our fabrication team, creates an atmosphere that’s both lively and relaxed.
From its cheerful palette to its whimsical details, Waking Daisy isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a bright, inviting escape designed to start the day with a smile.
