When it came time to reinvigorate the space, our team approached the project with a deep appreciation for its setting and its role in the broader story of Door County tourism. Every design decision was made to echo the calm, restorative spirit of the harbor just outside its windows. Soft blues and warm golden tones bring the colors of the shoreline indoors, while thoughtfully placed mirrors capture and amplify the sweeping water views, allowing the landscape to become part of the interior experience.
Elevated lighting with subtle nautical nods adds a refined yet coastal character, enhancing the ambiance from morning light to evening glow. To meet the needs of every kind of guest—families, couples, conference groups, and longtime vacationers—we incorporated a diverse range of seating options. From relaxed lounge clusters to flexible dining arrangements, each zone was designed to invite comfort, conversation, and connection.
